Nationally distributed radio and podcast program “This American Life” offers rare insight into Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a leading evidence-based treatment for PTSD, with audio recordings that a patient made of the actual therapy sessions that helped alleviate her trauma from a sexual assault as a teen. CPT has been used in a number of studies conducted by STRONG STAR and the Consortium to Alleviate PTSD.
